This lightning talk will highlight the lessons learned from the development of the BecaXR extended reality mobile application developed by Save the Children and Accenture. From BecaXR, we have learned that in order to effectively design and implement digital solutions that integrate with our standard programming, we need to not only draw from our own experiences, but the experiences of the entire development industry. Participants will learn about how Save, as a result of this experience, sought to document what has worked and what has not for the development of digital innovations from across the development field to better ground our future digital work in evidence. We will also discuss how Save balanced the need for learning and evidence with the excitement and desire to roll out the application to the largest audience possible.
