The “reproducibility crisis” is the most recent challenge for the academic community, but this community is in a constant state of renewal and development. Recent innovations include expanding pre-prints (ArXiv), documenting methodologies (Protocols.io), improving identifiers (ORCID, CrossRef Funder Registry), and ensuring that evaluations are findable and accessible (Digital Object Identifiers, Open Access).
