Data Scientist
Anindya Sharma is a data scientist at
Simprints, a non-profit startup in Cambridge that aims to transform the way the world fights poverty by building biometrics for identification in developing countries. Originally from India, Anindya completed a Mathematics undergraduate and a Systems Biology postgraduate degree from the University of Cambridge, whilst being a recipient of the prestigious Dr Manmohan Singh Scholarship. Anindya’s interests continually grow – he won a bronze medal at the International Linguistics Olympiad, has co-authored a paper in high performance computing, and worked in the domain of molecular evolution theory in the past. Initially a volunteer for Simprints, Anindya joined full-time when he discovered how much good can be done in the world with the help of data. Today, Anindya keeps himself busy outside of work by pursuing his passions for open-source software, maths education, and fairer opportunities. More about Anindya
