Sarah Tisch is a senior social scientist with over 30 years’ experience in research, data analysis, evaluation, and learning within the context of donor-funded development programs and activities. She has designed and led evaluations, trained donor and country staff in M&E practices and policies, and developed project-level monitoring systems. Sarah has led or served on teams evaluating USAID, U.S. Department of State, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and African Development Bank Group programs. She has worked in many technical fields, including ICT, telecommunications reform, women’s economic empowerment, gender equality, agriculture, democracy and governance, education, and food security technical areas for USAID Washington and Missions. A special focus of her career is the integration of gender analysis into all stages of a project and into MEL processes. She has held numerous project leadership positions, including three Chief-of-Party positions for USAID funded projects, two of which were in Washington D.C. She has worked in 34 countries and holds a PhD in Political Science from Binghamton University.
